What this role involves

Why Mozilla?

Mozilla Corporation is the non-profit-backed technology company that has shaped the internet for the better over the last 25 years. We make pioneering brands like Firefox, the privacy-minded web browser. Now, with more than 225 million people around the world using our products each month, we’re shaping the next 25 years of technology and helping to reclaim an internet built for people, not companies. Our work focuses on diverse areas including AI, social media, security and more. And we’re doing this while never losing our focus on our core mission to make the internet better for people.

The Mozilla Corporation is wholly owned by the non-profit 501© Mozilla Foundation. This means we aren’t beholden to any shareholders—only to our mission. Along with thousands of volunteer contributors and collaborators all over the world, Mozillians design, build and distribute open-source software that enables people to enjoy the internet on their terms.

About this team and role:

The Data Science organization shapes Mozilla’s most important business decisions through data. As a Senior Staff (P5) Data Scientist, you will be an analytical leader, partnering with senior executives to turn ambiguity into clear, data-driven recommendations that influence Mozilla’s long-term strategy.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategic Influence: Shape Mozilla’s most important business decisions with rigorous, data-driven insights. Turn ambiguity into clear recommendations that influence executive thinking and long-term strategy.
  • Trusted Partnerships: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners. Surface tradeoffs, align stakeholders with differing perspectives, and help teams make better, faster decisions.
  • Technical Excellence: Design and deliver sophisticated analytical solutions to solve complex, ambiguous problems involving large-scale, high-dimensional data. Set a high technical bar through sound methodology, statistical rigor, and pragmatic execution.
  • Mentorship and Growth: Serve as a technical leader within the Data Science community. Mentor data scientists, advise managers on technical direction, and elevate the quality of analytical work across the organization.

What you’ll bring:

  • Exceptional Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations while preserving analytical rigor. Proven success communicating effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Influence Without Authority: A track record of driving alignment across cross-functional teams, earning trust through expertise, and leading through influence rather than formal authority. Experience across multiple industries, domains, or problem spaces is a plus.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in Python or R, SQL, statistics, and modern data science tooling. A strong foundation in analytical methods, paired with curiosity for emerging technologies and sound judgment about when to apply them.

What you’ll get:

  • Generous performance-based bonus plans to all eligible employees
  • Rich medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous retirement contributions with 100% immediate vesting
  • Quarterly all-company wellness days where everyone takes a pause together
  • Country specific holidays plus a day off for your birthday
  • One-time home office stipend
  • Annual professional development budget
  • Quarterly well-being stipend
  • Considerable paid parental leave

Data Analytics Manager, Data Analytics at Plex, Inc.

Leads data analytics strategy and team while personally delivering 80% hands-on analysis work including experiments, dashboards, and KPI governance for product and growth decisions.

Lead Remote Posted 2 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on analytics leader to join our Product team as Manager, Data Analytics. Reporting to the VP of Product Management, this person will lead our Data Analytics function — setting the direction and strategy for the team while personally driving the majority of our most important analysis work. This is a true player-coach role: we expect roughly 80% of your time to be spent on hands-on analytical work, with the remaining 20% on team management, strategic alignment, and presenting to senior leadership. You’ll partner closely with our Data Engineering team, who own and maintain our data pipeline, and with Product, Growth, and Marketing stakeholders across the company. We are a remote-first company and foster an environment based on kindness, humility, transparency, and helpfulness.

What you’ll do

  • Personally deliver data-driven insights, recommendations, and deep-dive analyses that shape product, growth, and business decisions — from framing the question through presenting the answer.
  • Design and analyze experiments and A/B tests, bringing statistical rigor to how we evaluate product and growth initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve the dashboards and reports the company relies on to measure and manage KPIs — including acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization metrics.
  • Own the definitions and governance of our core business metrics, ensuring a trusted, single source of truth across the company.
  • Set the overall direction, strategy, and roadmap for the Data Analytics team, ruthlessly prioritizing requests from Product, Growth, Marketing, and Engineering.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the data analysts on the team, raising the bar on analytical quality and craft.
  • Partner closely with Data Engineering on data models, pipeline improvements, instrumentation, and data quality — advocating for the datasets and tooling the analytics team needs.
  • Embrace and champion AI tools throughout the analytics workflow — using them daily to accelerate query development, analysis, and reporting, and helping the team and company adopt them effectively.
  • Enable self-serve analytics so stakeholders can answer routine questions themselves, freeing the team for higher-leverage work.
  • Communicate findings clearly and persuasively to senior leadership and executives, and support our company-wide OKR process with sound measurement.

What you bring to the table

  • You have 7–10 years of experience in Analytics and Data Science, including experience leading or mentoring analysts — and you still love doing the work yourself.
  • You have expert-level SQL skills and experience pulling insights from large, complex datasets — preferably using Google BigQuery.
  • You’re proficient with modern BI and visualization tools (Looker preferred, or Tableau/Power BI or similar).
  • You have working knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis, and a solid grounding in experimentation methodology and statistics.
  • You have readily embraced the latest AI tools (LLMs, AI coding assistants, agentic workflows) as a core part of how you work, and you’re curious about how they keep changing the craft.
  • You’re technically competent and deeply curious — no detail is too small, no dataset too messy, and no question goes unexamined.
  • You have experience partnering with data engineering teams on data modeling, pipelines, and data quality, and you know how to be a great customer of a data platform.
  • You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, and are comfortable presenting insights and recommendations to executives.
  • You’re highly organized with strong prioritization skills, able to juggle multiple — and at times conflicting — priorities and stakeholder needs.
  • You’re opinionated about the metrics that matter for a consumer streaming and subscription business — experience in streaming, entertainment, or consumer subscription products is a plus.
  • You are kind, humble, helpful and enjoy getting stuff done.
  • You are intrinsically motivated, able to manage your time, and enjoy working with a distributed team across the globe.
  • You believe in asking for help and helping others when they ask, never throwing a problem over the wall.
  • You are hungry to have an impact, continuously working to improve our product, process and push the team to be its best.

Data Analytics Director, Client Data Science at Foodsmart

Directs client-facing data science initiatives, building reporting infrastructure and metrics that support QBRs, renewals, and sales processes.

Lead Posted 5 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Foodsmart:

Foodsmart is the leading Foodcare platform in the U.S., built to deliver nutrition-driven healthcare at scale. Powered by a national network of Registered Dietitians, Foodsmart combines personalized clinical nutrition care, behavior change tools, and food benefits to improve member health outcomes while lowering healthcare costs.

Our platform is designed to foster healthier food choices, drive lasting behavior change, and deliver sustainable health outcomes. Through our highly personalized, digital platform, we guide more than 3 million members—including those in employer-sponsored health plans, regional and national Medicaid managed care organizations, Medicare Advantage plans, and commercial insurers—on a tailored journey to eating well while saving time and money.

Foodsmart seamlessly integrates dietary assessments and nutrition counseling with online food ordering and cost-effective meal planning for the entire family, optimizing ingredients both at home and on the go. We partner with national and regional retailers across the U.S., many of whom accept SNAP/EBT, making healthier food more accessible. Additionally, we assist members with SNAP enrollment and management, providing tangible access to nutritious food. In 2024, Foodsmart secured a $200 million investment from TPG’s Rise Fund, which supports entrepreneurs dedicated to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. This investment helps us expand our reach, particularly to low-income workers who are disproportionately affected by diet-related diseases.

At Foodsmart, our mission is to make nutritious food accessible and affordable for everyone, regardless of economic status. We are committed to a set of core values that shape our culture and work environment:

👥 Customer First - You start with the member and work backwards.

🚀 Make It Happen - You act with urgency, use data, and hold high standards.

🤝 One Team - You collaborate with respect and commit as a group.

Whether you’re a dietitian, a commercial leader, or a technologist, working at Foodsmart means being part of a team that is passionate, supportive, and driven by a shared purpose. Join us in transforming the way people access and enjoy healthy food.

About the Role:

Every QBR, renewal conversation, and RFP Foodsmart brings to a client or prospect is only as strong as the data behind it. We’re looking for a Director, Client Data Science to own that foundation: the reporting, automation, and metrics that make sure our external story holds up, without turning into a manual scramble every time a client asks a hard question.

You won’t own Foodsmart’s external narrative itself, that lives with our go-to-market and sales teams, but you’ll make sure it’s built on solid data, and you’ll act as the analytical consultant who helps sharpen how it’s told.

This is a high-impact, domain-owning role reporting to the VP of Analytics & Data Science. You’ll be the connective point across the rest of the analytics team, pulling in expertise on member engagement and clinical outcomes as needed to round out the external story, while owning the client-facing data foundation yourself. You’ll also build and own our system of client SLAs: what we can validate and stand behind today, and the standing recommendation on whether to take on new ones.

This is a lead role where leadership shows up in being the confident, credible voice in front of clients and partners rather than in managing a large team. It’s heavily hands-on: you’ll build the reporting infrastructure yourself, work closely with Data Engineering to automate recurring weekly and monthly client reporting, and lean on AI as a genuine force multiplier, the main way this area scales, rather than just by adding headcount.

This is a hands-on infrastructure and reporting role. We need someone who can move fluidly from dbt modeling to BI build-out to actually sitting in front of a client, and who treats that full range as one job, not three.

We’re specifically looking for someone who has held an equivalent role at another health tech company: someone who has already lived the specific mix of clinical, operational, and commercial reporting that clients and payers expect, not someone learning the domain from scratch. Beyond that, we’re a small, flat, fast-moving team that leans hard into AI-native tooling. Hex, Omni, and Claude Code are our defaults for building and automating, and we want someone who thinks the same way.

You will:

  • Own Client Quarterly Business Review (QBR) automation end to end. Build the systems, using AI alongside other automation tooling, that turn QBR prep, including the slides and commentary, from a manual production process into something that runs largely on its own.
  • Automate Foodsmart’s recurring weekly and monthly client reporting in partnership with Data Engineering, so routine reporting runs on its own instead of eating analyst time every cycle.
  • Own the RFP data function: providing the analysis, benchmarks, and data cuts that Sales and the proposal team need, without owning the writing or the proposal process itself.
  • Create and own a standard system of client SLAs: which commitments we can validate and stand behind today, and act as the point person for evaluating whether to adopt new SLA asks from prospects or clients.
  • Build and maintain the foundational set of metrics Foodsmart uses externally: consistent, defensible numbers that Sales, Customer Success, RFP responses, and QBRs can all draw from rather than each function calculating its own version.
  • Be conversant in Foodsmart’s clinical ROI story well enough to represent it confidently in QBRs and client conversations, partnering with our Senior Director of Clinical Intelligence on the underlying technical model and any deep-dive analysis.
  • Act as the data consultant behind Foodsmart’s external narrative: make sure it’s built on accurate data, and help sharpen how it’s told, without owning the story or the external materials yourself.
  • Pull in expertise from across the analytics team, including member engagement and clinical outcomes, as needed to assemble a complete and accurate external story, rather than trying to own every domain’s data yourself.
  • Partner directly with Customer Success and Sales leadership as their embedded analytical lead, attending cadences and understanding what clients and prospects are actually asking for.
  • Represent Foodsmart directly in front of clients and prospects when needed, whether that’s presenting a QBR, supporting a sales call with data, or fielding technical questions during a deal.

You are:

  • An operator who thrives in flat, fast-moving teams, comfortable owning a broad mandate with minimal oversight.
  • A confident external communicator. You’re comfortable being in the room with clients, prospects, and partners, translating data into a clear, credible story on the spot, not just producing the underlying analysis.
  • A systems thinker who’d rather build the infrastructure that makes dozens of QBRs easy than manually produce each one well. You see repetition as a signal to automate, not grind through.
  • A trustworthy data steward. When you say a metric or an SLA is solid enough to put in front of a client or a payer, that means something, and you’re comfortable being the person who has to actually validate that before it goes external.
  • A full-stack analytics practitioner, strong across analytics engineering (dbt, semantic layer), BI and reporting, and enough data science fluency to know when a number needs real rigor behind it before it goes external.
  • Deeply fluent with AI-native tooling. You default to using Claude, Claude Code, and in-BI AI agents to build and automate, and you have a point of view on how to use them to replace manual reporting work specifically.
  • Someone who treats AI as a real lever on your own output. You default to using it to build, automate, and extend your reach, and you’d rather scale this area through leverage than through headcount.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics); Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 12+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or BI, with real experience owning client-facing or external-facing reporting.  4+ years leading teams
  • Experience in an equivalent role at another healthtech company, ideally one with a similar mix of clinical, operational, and commercial reporting demands.
  • Direct experience supporting RFP processes with data and analysis, ideally in a healthcare, Medicaid, or payer-adjacent context.
  • Experience building or owning SLA frameworks, or a clear point of view on how to structure one from scratch.
  • Comfort discussing clinical ROI and outcomes methodology at a business level. You don’t need to own the technical model, that sits with our Senior Director of Clinical Intelligence, but you need to represent it credibly to clients and prospects.
  • Experience partnering directly with Sales and Customer Success leadership as their analytical lead.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and working knowledge in Python.
  • Deep, production-level experience with dbt, including source and metric modeling, testing, documentation, and semantic layer design.
  • Experience with context engineering for BI and AI self-service: writing semantic layer definitions, metric descriptions, and data model documentation that enables reliable AI-assisted querying (Omni, Looker, or equivalent).
  • Proven fluency with AI-native developer and analyst tooling (Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Hex AI Agent, Omni AI, or equivalent) used in production analytical workflows.
  • Experience automating recurring reporting deliverables (QBRs, board decks, client-facing dashboards) using AI or workflow tooling, not just building the underlying dashboard.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with genuine comfort presenting data-driven narratives to external, non-technical audiences.

Data Analytics Director, Member Data Science at Foodsmart

Director leading data science and analytics efforts across the member journey, from acquisition through retention, partnering with marketing and product teams.

We’re looking for a Director, Member Data Science to own the analytics behind the entire path a member takes with Foodsmart, from first contact, through activation, to long-term retention.  You’ll partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Clinical Operations along the way.

This is a high-impact, domain-owning leadership role reporting to the VP of Analytics & Data Science. You’ll be the executive-facing voice on member funnel and retention performance, lead our experimentation and causal inference program, and build the attribution and lifecycle models that shape how Foodsmart invests across the member journey. You’ll partner directly with senior company leadership as the analytical voice understanding the member journey.

You’ll lead a small team while staying hands-on yourself. This is a meaningfully technical role, not a pure people-management seat: we need someone who can build and review the models directly, operate as a trusted thought partner to executive stakeholders, and coach the team toward increasingly independent ownership. As this area grows, we expect that growth to come from leverage, not just headcount: real scale will come from how well you and your team use AI agents and tooling to extend your reach. If you’re energized by getting more out of a small team through scale of impact rather than by managing a bigger one, this is built for you.

This is a full-stack data science leadership role. We’re not looking for a pure statistician or a pure analytics engineer. We need someone who operates across the entire analytical stack, from dbt source models and semantic layer design, to BI dashboards and self-service tooling, to predictive modeling, causal inference, and optimization work. At Foodsmart, durable insight requires owning the data foundation it sits on, and impactful models require the communication infrastructure to drive decisions. We expect this person to be strong across all of it, and to instill that same standard in the team they lead.

We’re a small, flat, fast-moving team that leans hard into AI-native tooling. We use Hex and its AI Agent for analysis, and Omni with deep context engineering to power stakeholder self-service. We’re actively expanding our use of Claude Code across our workflows, and we want someone who treats these tools as force multipliers for their own output and their team’s, not someone who sees analytics as a hand-cranked request queue.

You will:

  • Own the analytical strategy for the end-to-end marketing funnel across both activation and retention: from marketable lives to lead generation to omni-channel engagement strategy, to visit completion, re-engagement, and the reactivation campaigns that bring lapsed members back into their care journey. This includes our call center function (outbound rep allocation, inbound referral scheduling, ZCC data) and member lifecycle (Customer.io journey performance).
  • Own the product analytics domain across both activation and retention: onboarding funnel, sign-up conversion, in-app engagement through a member’s completed first appointment, and the ongoing booking and in-app experience that shapes whether members keep coming back. Partner with the product team as their embedded analytical lead, attending product cadences and co-owning the product analytics roadmap.
  • Serve as the executive-facing owner of the member funnel and retention performance narrative: explaining why marketable lives, funnel conversion, initial visit completion, and retention moved, what levers drove the result, and what to double down on. Partner directly with senior leaders as the analytical voice for the member journey.
  • Design and lead Foodsmart’s experimentation program across marketing, product, and retention, including test design, causal inference methods, readout discipline, and the intake process for stakeholder-driven test ideas. Own the StatSig implementation and serve as the internal expert on experiment instrumentation, StatSig configuration, and results interpretation.
  • Own and evolve our attribution framework, including scheduling episode attribution, multi-touch attribution, and media mix modeling as Foodsmart’s channel portfolio grows.
  • Partner with Clinical Operations leadership, whose Registered Dietitian network is a key driver of member retention.
  • Own and evolve the dbt data models across marketing, product, and retention, from raw source modeling through metrics, ensuring data quality, test coverage, documentation, and a semantic layer that makes self-service trustworthy. This is a core craft expectation of this role, not a secondary responsibility.
  • Engineer context into our semantic layer and BI environment (Omni) so that stakeholders and AI agents can reliably self-serve answers across the member journey. You treat context engineering (writing descriptions, defining metrics, curating what’s exposed) as a first-class part of your job.
  • Lead and develop a small team: setting technical direction, reviewing work, coaching toward increasingly independent ownership of their part of the member journey, and helping the team find real leverage through AI tooling rather than doing more manual work.

You are:

  • An operator who thrives in flat, fast-moving teams. You need minimal guidance to drive outcomes and default to taking ownership rather than waiting for direction.
  • A domain-owning leader who is comfortable being the single point of accountability for a critical, company-level outcome and the executive-facing voice on its performance.
  • A rigorous experimentalist who treats causal inference as a core craft, not a buzzword. You have a point of view on what makes a test trustworthy and how to teach causal thinking to business partners.
  • A strategic partner who can translate a high-level business problem into a concrete analytical roadmap and influence senior leaders, including C-level executives, across product, marketing, clinical, and finance.
  • A full-stack analytics practitioner, strong across analytics engineering (dbt, semantic layer), business intelligence and dashboarding, and data science (predictive modeling, causal inference, optimization). You don’t silo into pure stats/Python work, and you understand that durable insight requires owning the data foundation, not just the models on top of it.
  • Deeply fluent with AI-native tooling. You see tools like Claude, Claude Code, and in-BI AI agents as a core part of how you and your team get leverage, and you have a point of view on how to engineer the context and semantic layer that makes AI-driven self-service trustworthy.
  • Genuinely energized by scaling a small team’s output through AI rather than through more headcount. You’d rather solve “how do we get 3x the leverage out of this team” than “how do I get budget for 2 more hires,” and you want the person you manage to feel that same energy.
  • A capable, motivated people leader who wants to stay predominantly hands-on. This is not a pure management-track role. We’re looking for someone who leads by building and reviewing alongside their team, not by stepping back from the work.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics); Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 12+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or experimentation, with a proven track record of driving measurable impact on growth, acquisition, or lifecycle outcomes. 4+ years leading teams.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior and executive stakeholders (VP-level and above) as the analytical voice for a business area, ideally including some experience leading or mentoring other data scientists or analysts.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in experimentation and causal inference. You have designed and interpreted rigorous tests (A/B, quasi-experimental, geo-lift) and can defend methodology choices under scrutiny.
  • Strong background in attribution modeling (scheduling episode, multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling) and a clear point of view on the tradeoffs between approaches.
  • Experience owning lifecycle analytics, ideally including hands-on work with Customer.io, Braze, Iterable, or a similar platform.
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics instrumentation: event tracking, funnel analysis, and experimentation platforms (Statsig, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or equivalent). You have a point of view on what good product measurement infrastructure looks like.
  • Experience with call center or contact center analytics is a plus. We leverage Zoom Contact Center (ZCC) for our outbound and inbound scheduling teams.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, etc.).
  • Deep, production-level experience with dbt, including source and mart-layer modeling, testing, documentation, and semantic layer design. You have owned a dbt project end-to-end, not just contributed to one.
  • Experience with context engineering for BI and AI self-service: writing semantic layer definitions, metric descriptions, and data model documentation that enables reliable AI-assisted querying (Omni, Looker, or equivalent).
  • Proven fluency with AI-native developer and analyst tooling (Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Hex AI Agent, Omni AI, or equivalent) used in production analytical workflows.
  • Experience working in marketplace business models and/or adjacent to healthcare, Medicaid, or a similarly regulated domain is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills. You can distill complex models, test results, and funnel diagnostics into clear, actionable recommendations for executive, product, and marketing-leadership audiences.

Data Analytics Staff Analytics Analyst, Full Stack (Revenue) at Affirm

Leads development of scalable data products and analytics infrastructure for revenue teams, including AI-enabled metrics, dashboards, and data governance across the organization.

Lead Posted 6 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.

About the Team:

We’re looking for an experienced, highly independent analytics engineer to join our Revenue Analytics team. This team owns the data products, reporting infrastructure, semantic foundations, and analytical systems that support Affirm’s Revenue organization.

About the Role:

In this role, you will lead the development of scalable, trusted data products for Affirm’s revenue teams. You turn ambiguous business and technical problems into scalable solutions across data modeling, metrics, dashboards, automation, governance, and AI enablement. You will help set the technical direction for Revenue’s data layer, establish the semantic and metadata foundations required for AI, and raise the quality and impact of data across the Revenue organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead high-impact data product initiatives for Revenue, from ambiguous problem definition through technical design, implementation, rollout, and adoption.

  • Advance AI initiatives within the Revenue data ecosystem by identifying high-value use cases, integrating AI into analytics engineering workflows, and establishing the semantic, metadata, context, quality, and evaluation foundations required for AI.

  • Design and build durable, well-tested data products that power revenue operations, field and executive reporting, external merchant reporting, and analyst self-service.

  • Set technical direction for Revenue’s data layer across dbt models, metrics, semantic structures, documentation, lineage, testing, governance, and access controls.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and scale Revenue Analytics through improved data architecture, tooling, governance, and enablement.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to analysts and cross-functional partners, raising the bar for how data products are designed, built, and maintained.

What We Look For:

  • 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, data engineering, data product development, or a related technical analytics role.

  • Deep expertise in SQL, dbt, data modeling, metrics design, data quality, documentation, and modern analytics engineering practices.

  • Strong working knowledge of BI tools such as Sigma, Looker, or Tableau, cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, and modern data platforms such as Databricks.

  • Strong understanding of the foundations required for reliable AI—including semantic layers, metadata, evaluations, documentation, lineage, access controls, and data quality—and experience applying AI tools within analytics engineering workflows.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex, ambiguous projects by defining scope, sequencing work, managing tradeoffs, aligning stakeholders, and delivering durable technical solutions.

  • Experience designing scalable data products for multiple audiences and influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders around architecture and product direction.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and experience supporting commercial, GTM, revenue, or sales operations teams.

Data Analytics Director, Analytics at Siege Media

Lead technical analytics implementations and strategy for a growing practice, building GA4/GTM infrastructure while advising clients on measurement and attribution.

Lead Hybrid Posted 8 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Siege Media is a full-service GEO agency specializing in SEO, content marketing, digital PR, and affiliate marketing as a method of driving LLM visibility. We work with brands like Zapier, Asana, HP, PayPal, and Zoom. We’re expanding our service suite to include Analytics, and we’re looking for the founding hire to build and lead that practice.

Perks for U.S. employees include 100% health, dental, and vision benefits, unlimited PTO, and remote-friendly work environments (with a preference for Austin or a willingness to travel for periodic team gatherings).

Siege Media values diversity. We encourage people of color, LGBTQIA+ folks, veterans, parents and those with disabilities to apply. We are committed to helping all people succeed at Siege. If you require reasonable accommodation to complete our application or interview process, please let us know.

The Role

This is a hybrid implementer/strategist role. You’ll be hands-on building the technical foundation (GA4, GTM, attribution, dashboards) and the authority in the room, translating data into strategy and defending it directly with clients. You’ll own the Analytics service line from the ground up: setting standards, scoping engagements, and growing the practice as demand builds.

If you only want to build, or only want to advise, this isn’t the role. We need someone who can do both and is excited to shape a new offering.

Responsibilities

  • Implementations: Lead end-to-end analytics implementations: GA4, Google Tag Manager (including server-side tagging), data layer architecture, and conversion tracking.

  • Reporting & Dashboards: Design and build reporting and dashboards (Looker Studio, BigQuery, and equivalent BI tools).

  • Attribution Strategy: Develop attribution models and measurement frameworks that tie organic, content, and PR efforts to business outcomes.

  • Client Advisory: Serve as the analytics authority on client calls — presenting insights, fielding questions, and guiding strategy with confidence.

  • Internal Partnership: Partner with GEO, SEO, content, affiliate, paid social and PR teams to instrument campaigns and prove impact.

  • Compliance: Ensure privacy and consent compliance (consent mode, data governance) across implementations.

  • Practice Building: Set the standards, processes, and deliverable templates for a scalable Analytics practice.

  • Sales Support: Scope and price new analytics engagements alongside the Growth team.

  • Brand Strategy: Use our Analytics infrastructure with historical data to help develop differentiated content strategies for the Siege Media brand.

Required Skills

  • 7–10 years in marketing or web analytics, with a mix of agency and/or in-house experience

  • Dedicated experience using AI to build analytics dashboards/scaled recommendations, including but not limited to Claude artifacts for reporting and agentic workflows

  • Deep, hands-on GA4 and GTM expertise, including server-side tagging and data layer design

  • Strong SQL and experience with BigQuery and BI/visualization tools (Looker Studio or similar)

  • Proven attribution modeling and measurement strategy chops

  • Demonstrated client-facing presence — you can lead a call, not just join one

  • Ability to translate technical data into clear, strategic recommendations a CMO understands

  • Familiarity with privacy regulations and consent management

Suggested Skills

  • Strong comfort using AI tools like Claude to drive analytics recommendations and scale your impact at an organization

  • Experience measuring SEO/content/GEO performance, or exposure to AI search analytics

Compensation & Logistics

  • Salary: $135,000.00–$145,000.00 USD, $145,000.00-$165,000.00 OTE

  • Benefits: Full benefits for employees include 100% health/dental/vision, 401(k) matching and unlimited PTO

  • Location: Remote-friendly, with a preference for Austin, TX or a willingness to travel for periodic team gatherings
