Manages cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, access control, and daily platform operations for a fintech protocol across multiple blockchains.
At Centrifuge, weâre not just talking about tokenization; weâre making it real. In the past year alone, weâve partnered with S&P Dow Jones Indices, announced the first tokenized S&P 500 Index Fund, brought Janus Hendersonâs AAA CLO strategy onchain, and crossed $1.7B in TVL. Weâre also well-funded, backed by leading investors such as ParaFi Capital, Greenfield, Circle Ventures, and Coinbase. Weâre live across more than ten blockchains and building the open infrastructure for real-world assets at scale.
Weâre looking for a hands-on IT & Platform Engineer to keep the systems behind all of this running smoothly. Youâll be the operational backbone of our engineering org, helping with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, access management, and day-to-day platform work that keeps a fast-moving team shipping without friction. Working directly alongside our DevOps & Security lead, youâll take real ownership of how we operate, from the requests that unblock people every day to the infrastructure projects that scale the platform. Youâll also work closely with Engineering to harden and evolve the systems that a growing base of institutional partners depends on.
Youâll be the person who keeps a real production fintech protocol running day to day: handling the access requests, deployments, and infrastructure tasks that our engineering org depends on, and making sure nothing blocks the team from shipping. Youâll work directly with our DevOps & Security engineer in a small, high-trust team, taking ownership of the operational and platform work so it runs smoothly and predictably. Youâll touch more infrastructure in six months than most engineers see in three years, across GCP, Cloudflare, CI/CD, and multi-chain deployments. If youâre process-oriented, like owning systems and documentation, and want to build a serious platform/DevOps career in Web3, this is the role.
This is a hands-on platform and operations role. Day to day youâll keep engineering and IT operations running; over time youâll take on larger infrastructure projects end to end.
Tech stack: GCP, Cloudflare, GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform, Python/Bash, plus Web3 tooling.
This is a full-time, permanent role. We work fully remote with a European base, generally around 09:00 to 17:00 local time, with the flexibility to overlap US hours when something needs it. Thereâs an annual learning budget for courses, conferences, and certifications, and the occasional out-of-hours moment when a production incident needs attention, typically only a handful of times a year and always with escalation support behind you.
Youâd own the operational backbone of a live fintech protocol with over $1B in real assets onchain, working directly alongside a senior DevOps and Security engineer, with room to grow into deeper infrastructure, security, and platform ownership. Itâs hands-on Web3 and compliance-grade infrastructure experience you wonât get in many places, in a small, fast-moving, well-funded team, fully remote and flexible, with real autonomy over the systems you look after.
We may use AI tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications or assessing responses. These tools assist our team but do not replace human judgment; final hiring decisions are made by humans. If youâre excited about this role but your experience doesnât line up with every point above, we still encourage you to apply.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.

Builds data pipelines and ML models for record matching and relevance scoring in an AI-enabled decision-support system, with focus on data quality, traceability, and probabilistic matching.
ABOUT DEFCON AI
RESILIENCE IN THE FACE OF DISRUPTION. DEFCON AI is an insights company that leverages artificial intelligence, mathematical optimization, data analytics, and software engineering for resilient optimization of complex systems.
In todayâs dynamically changing world, DEFCON AIâs technology aligns outcomes with operational goals, better decision making, and empowers customers to anticipate assess, and mitigate the impacts of disruptions.
About the Role
As a Data & ML Engineer you will build the data and model layer behind an AI-enabled decision-support system operating inside an accredited environment. That work covers ingestion from many source systems, resolution of incoming records against a shared data model, relevance scoring, and generation of explanations a user can act on and defend.
Three characteristics make this a substantial technical challenge. The incoming data is predominantly low-signal, which means a model can report strong overall accuracy while failing on the cases that matter most. Every output must remain traceable to the underlying sources, because a person downstream is accountable for the result. Record matching is probabilistic rather than exact, so false matches and missed matches both carry meaningful cost.
You will not be starting from an empty repository. We operate an established platform for source custody, extraction, and retrieval, and its architect is a member of this team, so existing design decisions are documented and accessible. Your work will focus on new capability rather than maintenance: record matching, calibrated scoring, and grounded generation, hardened for the target environment. We build with current tooling and expect the same, including the use of AI assistance in our own engineering practice.
This is a fully remote role with occasional travel (up to 25%) to DEFCON AI HQ, customer sites, and vendor facilities as required.
Key Responsibilities
The technical work falls into four areas. Deep expertise in all four is not expected, so please indicate where your depth lies when you apply. The engineering standards that follow apply to everyone on the team.

Scoring and Calibration
Retrieval and Generation
Pipelines and Source Handling
