About the opportunity
Join our Education team as a Customer Success Manager (Enterprise) in Melbourne, Australia to make a real impact every day. Reporting into the Director of Customer Success Account Management, you will help us strengthen the partnership between Xplor Education and the early childhood education and care (ECEC) providers we support, driving customer outcomes that improve operational efficiency, family engagement, and quality care. Some of the other responsibilities include:
- Maintain active account plans for all assigned enterprise customers, including documented stakeholder lists, executive engagement strategies, risks, opportunities, and success plans
- Deliver agreed customer engagement and review cadences, including quarterly business reviews, customer health scoring, and product and feature adoption reviews
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and manage churn risks across your portfolio of strategic customers
- Manage contract renewals end-to-end, including commercial negotiation and identification of revenue growth opportunities
- Deliver cross-sell, upsell, migration, and product adoption targets in collaboration with Account Executives
- Maintain accurate and timely customer records, opportunities, account plans, and activities within Salesforce, using tools such as Salesloft to record interactions and drive engagement
- Manage customer support escalations through to resolution, coordinating internal stakeholders as required
- Champion customer feedback and requirements internally, ensuring customer needs are effectively represented across Product, Engineering, Support, and other business functions
- Contribute to product adoption, customer education, enablement, and change management initiatives, including supporting QikKids to Office migrations
Location - Remote within Australia, with a preference for Melbourne-based candidates and full Australian working rights. Expect occasional travel (roughly 2–3 times a year)
Compensation - On-target earnings of ~$130,000, made up of base salary plus quarterly commission. Commission is tied directly to the outcomes you’ll own customer retention, churn management, and broader commercial performance, so your success is rewarded in step with your customers’ success.

You will spend four out of five days a week visiting customers at their sites - construction sites, trade depots, industrial facilities - so a full, clean driving licence and comfort behind the wheel of a company vehicle are essential. As a Customer Success Manager at Instagrid, you are responsible for ensuring that customers gain maximum value from our portable power solutions. You serve as the primary point of contact after the sale, driving adoption, satisfaction, and long‑term retention. Success in this role requires building strong customer relationships, proactively resolving issues, and identifying opportunities for growth. You also play a key role in connecting sales, product, and customers to continuously enhance the overall customer experience.
Own the post-sale customer relationship from onboarding through to renewal and growth — acting as the primary point of contact for your portfolio of accounts
Spend the majority of your working week on the road, visiting customers at their sites to support adoption, resolve issues, and strengthen partnerships
Guide customers through product set-up and help them get the most from their Instagrid systems, reducing reliance on combustion generators
Monitor customer health metrics and act early to address risks, prevent churn, and keep satisfaction high
Identify and progress upselling and cross-selling opportunities in close collaboration with the sales team
Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts, demonstrating value and aligning on shared goals
Gather customer feedback and relay actionable insights to the Product and Engineering teams
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer issues quickly and effectively
Keep CRM records accurate and up to date at all times
2–5 years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or a similar customer-facing role — ideally within technical, industrial, or capital equipment sectors; experience working with Austrian trades or industrial customers is a strong advantage
A full, clean driving licence this role involves regular travel to customer sites four to five days per week across Austria
Comfortable and confident driving a company-provided electric vehicle as your primary mode of work travel
Based in Northern Austria, or willing to relocate — proximity to the regional customer base is important
Business-fluent in German (written and spoken) and English
Strong communication skills - you can adapt your style from a site manager on a building project to a procurement director in a head office
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment
A proactive, solutions-first mindset - you spot problems before customers do and come prepared with answers
Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot)
High degree of self-reliance and accountability - you manage your own diary and deliver without close supervision
